About John
Co-owner and Director of the Plane Tree, John has also been Director of Osteopathy London based in Bethnal Green since 2001. He qualified as an osteopath in 1998 and cranial osteopath the year after. In addition to treating patients John also tutored both in technique and at the student clinic of the British College of Osteopathic Medicine from 2000 to 2005.
He gained a wide range of experience as a general practitioner seeing people across the lifespan, including the delicate work of treating infants. In recent years he has further developed his interest and skills in treating sports injuries and developing tailored rehabilitation programs, about which he is very passionate.
John is equally at home using direct classical osteopathic techniques as well as more subtle cranial interventions, and will combine these methods when appropriate. He is also a skilled educator, teaching rehab exercises and techniques and giving advice to patients on lifestyle, ergonomics, exercise and dietary issues. He looks to actively engage his patients in their own recovery.
